Rising Australian defender Thomas Deng has been given a chance with European heavyweights PSV Eindhoven after being loaned from Melbourne Victory.

The 19-year-old Kenyan-born Australian, who has made 13 appearances for the Victory and played in national youth teams, has signed a one-year deal to play with the Eredivisie champions' under-21 team with an option to buy.

"I have come here to become a better player and I hope I will be eventually invited to train with the first-team squad," Deng told the PSV's website.
